The mission of LaGrange County Community Foundation is to inspire and sustain generosity, leadership and service in our community.

Seventeen years from the beginning in 1991, the foundation has grown to over $12 million in total assets. Over $7.6 million in endowed funds provide ongoing funding for service organizations and projects throughout LaGrange County.

An active community foundation has made it possible for well over $10 million to be used for the benefit of LaGrange County residents over the past decade and a half. Funds from Lilly Endowment, Inc., Cole Foundation and Dekko Foundation are included.

LCCF includes over 100 funds providing grants to meet a wide assortment of community needs. In 2007 over $300,000 dollars was awarded through grants, and scholarships.

The investment philosophy of LaGrange County Community Foundation is: "We are committed to preserving the purchasing power of assets entrusted to our care. Philanthropic dollars should provide as much service 100 years from now as they do today. Investment and distribution decisions are made with this goal in mind."
