Grants | 2007 Grant Making Guidelines
The mission of the LaGrange County Community Foundation is to inspire and sustain leadership, generosity and service. Helping community serving organizations fund plans to meet critically important outcomes is the fundamental purpose of the LCCF grantmaking program. Non-profit organizations, schools and qualifying government agencies serving the citizens of LaGrange County are invited to apply for a grant from the LaGrange County Community Foundation through the LCCF application process. The LCCF operates without discrimination as to age, race, religion, sex or national origin in the consideration of grant requests. The general policy of the LaGrange County Community Foundation is to make grants for innovative and creative projects and programs that are responsive to changing community needs in the areas of, but not restricted to: arts and culture, community development, education, environment, health and human services, and recreation. The LaGrange County Community Foundation does not make grants to individuals, except in the form of academic scholarships. Grants are generally given one-time only for specific purposes and will typically not be awarded to provide annual operating expenses or support. Nor will a grant be awarded to replenish funds previously expended. Grants are made with the understanding that the foundation has no obligation or commitment to provide additional support to the grantee. Grants may not be used for any political campaign, or to support attempts to influence legislature of any government body other than through making available the results of nonpartisan analysis, study and research. |
