Since 1991, LaGrange County Community Foundation, through the generosity of its donors and the leadership of its volunteer Board of Directors, has developed a scholarship program that offers significant financial support for a wide range of educational and career interests. Presently, the community foundation is offering a variety of new scholarships - bringing the countywide total to over 30 separately funded scholarships. Several of those offer multiple awards. 

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Deadline for the LCCF Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship has passed.

New criteria and process for LCCF Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

To qualify students must have:

•Applied to and been accepted at an Indiana 4-year college or university

•Taken the SAT and have scores recorded on official high school transcript

•Participated in community service confirmed with at least one legible signature from an unrelated adult sponsor or supervisor

To be awarded an LCCF Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, a student must:

•Be selected as one of 10 semi-finalists based upon their best composite SAT score--multiple testing efforts may apply to the composite 

•Be selected as one of five finalists based upon average score from an essay on the subject of community service.

•Be selected as one of two  nominees based upon a combined  average essay and interview score

The scholarship may be used for any area of study and offers full tuition and books in return for a commitment to four years of full-time baccalaureate study at any accredited Indiana College or University and ten years of career tracking.It does not include room and board.

Two Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships will be awarded in 2010.
