Intern Opportunity

Internship Program Overview: The LaGrange County Community Foundation Inc. offers one summer paid internship opportunity for students enrolled at any Indiana higher educational institution. This internship is designed to provide meaningful projects and opportunities to help the intern develop work-related skills and assist the Community Foundation on various projects directly related to its mission. 

The Administrative Intern will be responsible for providing administrative support to team members, assisting in filing records efficiently, supporting event planning, data collection, attending meetings, coordinating interior design improvements and a community art display, collaborating with team members on strategic projects and maintaining and updating the donor database.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Full or part-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a two-year or four-year Indiana college or university.
• Must have completed freshman year of college.
• University path towards a degree in business, business management, communications, marketing, education, English, human services, organizational leadership, nonprofit management, etc.

POSITION DETAILS

• 12-week internship from May-August (office will be closed July 4-8)
• $15 per hour
• 30 hours per week during regular office hours, 8:00 am - 3 pm Monday - Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with leadership and team members to complete strategic projects, which may cover topics including accounting, marketing, operations, facilities, or other areas.
• Attends meetings and reports on issues and decisions relevant to assigned projects.
• Provides operational and administrative support to complete various functions and tasks.
• Completes additional tasks, including but not limited to: covering the front desk, answering calls, coordinating Community Room calendar, data collection, managing meeting logistics, preparing agendas and other materials for meetings with leaders and team members.
• Records donor gifts in database and creates thank you letters.
• Assists with scholarship program administration.
• Maintains and updates donor database records.
